Squashed the quantization problem!

Finally after ruminating over the weekend (and reading the darned specifications and whitepapers while driving (dangerous and not recommended for those with 2 left hands...)), finally managed to understand the equations for the quanitizer for WSQ. Now I just have to translate that to my programmer for him to let loose and see what comes up.

My Blog is born!

Finally got down to creating my own blog, just to find out what the heck is this new fad thingie all about. So - here it!

Right now, I am scratchin' my scalp off trying to figure out these gawd'dang equations for a fingerprint compression technique called WSQ (wavelet scalar quantization). Can't figure out what is the value of the elusive "q" quantization parameter. Should have paid my attention to my math teacher in school.....
